The Johor branch of the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) is investigating an incident involving the illegal sale of subsidized RON95 petrol at a station in Skudai. The case was reported to have occurred on March 21, 2026.

According to verified reports, enforcement officers discovered that the station had dispensed RON95 fuel into a large plastic container, which violates regulations. Subsidized RON95 fuel is strictly for use in vehicles and cannot be sold into portable containers to prevent smuggling and misuse.

State KPDN director Lilis Saslinda Pornomo confirmed the investigation is ongoing. The station operator could face severe penalties, including fines and license revocation, if found guilty of breaching the Control of Supplies Act 1961.

This incident is part of broader enforcement efforts by KPDN Johor to curb the leakage of subsidized fuel, which has seen increased operations and inspections across the state.
