Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Tunji Disu has ordered the posting of senior officers recently promoted within the Nigeria Police Force to various commands and departments. The postings are part of a routine administrative exercise following promotions approved by the Police Service Commission.
Among the key postings verified by official sources, AIG Yetunde Longe has been redeployed to head the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID). AIGs including Abiodun Asabi and Margaret Ochalla have also been assigned to head specific zonal commands.
The postings are intended to fill vacancies and reinvigorate the leadership of various formations. The police high command stated that the move aims to enhance service delivery and effective policing across the country.
All officers are expected to report to their new duty posts immediately. The IGP charged them to demonstrate professionalism and commitment in their new roles.
