Luxury safari operator Hideaways Africa has upgraded its transportation network in Botswana, introducing a new fleet of closed, air-conditioned 4x4 vehicles. This initiative is designed to provide more reliable and comfortable guest transfers to its remote camps, particularly during the rainy season when traditional open safari vehicles are less practical.

The new fleet, which includes customized Toyota Land Cruisers, aims to ensure year-round accessibility to camps like the newly refurbished Nxamaseri Island Lodge in the Okavango Delta. The vehicles are equipped for both road and water crossings, enhancing connectivity in the region's challenging terrain.

This logistical upgrade is part of a broader investment by Hideaways Africa into its Botswana operations, following a multi-million dollar refurbishment of several key properties. The company states the move directly addresses client feedback seeking more consistent travel conditions regardless of seasonal weather variations.
