Gurugram Police Arrest Three in Child Assault Case

Gurugram police arrested three individuals in a child sexual assault case following Supreme Court directives.

Gurugram police have arrested three individuals in connection with the alleged sexual assault of a minor child. The arrests were made following intervention and directives from the Supreme Court of India, which had taken suo motu cognizance of the case.

The suspects include two women who worked as domestic helpers and a male accomplice. The case pertains to incidents reported in a residential society in Gurugram, Haryana.

The Supreme Court had earlier expressed serious concern over the handling of the case and directed the Gurugram police to expedite the investigation. The police have registered a case under relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and the Indian Penal Code.

Authorities have stated that the investigation is ongoing. The child is reportedly receiving necessary support and care.
