Girona manager Michel Sánchez has stated he would be prepared for a future opportunity to coach Manchester City, though he emphasized no such offer currently exists. The comments came in an interview with The Guardian, where he discussed his career ambitions.

Michel, whose full name is Miguel Ángel Sánchez Muñoz, has led Girona to historic success, including a second-place finish in La Liga last season. His attractive, attacking style of play has drawn comparisons to that of current City boss Pep Guardiola.

When asked about the potential of succeeding Guardiola, Michel acknowledged the City job would be a major step but one he feels ready for. "If you ask me if I’m ready, yes," he said. He clarified, however, that his focus remains entirely on Girona, with whom he is under contract.

Pep Guardiola's contract at Manchester City runs until 2025. There has been no indication from the club about his successor, and Michel is not currently considered a frontrunner for the role.
