The Calgary Flames defeated the Florida Panthers 5-1 at the Scotiabank Saddledome on Thursday night. Forward Connor Zary left the game in the second period with a lower-body injury and did not return.
Victor Olofsson led the Flames' offense with two goals, including the game-winner. Andrei Kuzmenko, Nazem Kadri, and Blake Coleman also scored for Calgary. Goaltender Jacob Markstrom made 33 saves for the win.
For the Panthers, Sam Reinhart scored the lone goal. Goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky was pulled after allowing four goals on 16 shots. The loss snapped Florida's three-game winning streak.
Flames head coach Ryan Huska stated post-game that Zary would be evaluated on Friday. The team's next game is Saturday against the Edmonton Oilers.
