Brazilian defender Alex Sandro has been ruled out of the national team's upcoming friendly matches due to injury. The 35-year-old Juventus left-back sustained a low-grade lesion in his left thigh during a Serie A match against Genoa on March 16, 2026.

The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) confirmed his withdrawal from the squad. He will not be available for the friendlies against France on March 26 and Croatia on March 29, as the team prepares for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Head coach Dorival Júnior has not called up a direct replacement for Sandro. The team will rely on other defensive options, including Guilherme Arana from Atlético Mineiro, who is already with the squad.

Sandro's injury is not considered serious, but requires a period of recovery. He is expected to return to action for Juventus after the international break.
