Speaking at the launch of BN's Johor election machinery in Iskandar Puteri on June 7, 2026, Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said BN's contribution to national stability could not be dismissed. He stated that without BN's 30 parliamentary seats, the unity government would not have been formed.
Zahid, who is also the deputy prime minister, emphasized that BN's role in the current administration is significant. He reminded Pakatan Harapan (PH) that the unity government relies on BN's support to maintain stability.
The event was attended by several BN leaders, including Johor BN chief Khaled Nordin. Zahid's remarks come amid ongoing discussions about the coalition's future and its partnership with PH.
