World Gaming, formerly known as Clarion Gaming, has announced the continuation of its sustainability objectives with the implementation of phase 2 of its initiative at the upcoming iGB L!VE event. The event is scheduled to take place from July 14-17, 2026, at the RAI Amsterdam convention center.
Phase 1 of the sustainability campaign was successfully launched at ICE and iGB Affiliate Barcelona in January 2026. The initiative focuses on reducing the environmental impact of large-scale gaming industry events, including waste reduction, energy efficiency, and promoting sustainable practices among exhibitors and attendees.
According to a press release from World Gaming, phase 2 will introduce new measures such as mandatory recycling stations, digital-only materials for exhibitors, and a carbon offset program for travel. The company aims to achieve a 30% reduction in event-related carbon emissions by 2028 compared to 2025 levels.
Stuart Hunter, Managing Director of World Gaming, stated: 'Our commitment to sustainability is unwavering. We are proud to build on the success of our January campaign and look forward to setting new standards for the industry at iGB L!VE.'
iGB L!VE is a key event for the global gaming industry, attracting thousands of professionals. The sustainability push aligns with broader industry trends toward environmental responsibility.
