The World Bank's Board of Executive Directors has approved two new programs totaling $650 million to support Morocco's digital transformation and climate resilience, according to a press release dated June 12, 2026.
The first program, a $350 million Digital Transformation Development Policy Loan, aims to enhance digital infrastructure, improve digital public services, and strengthen cybersecurity. The second, a $300 million Climate Resilience and Green Growth Development Policy Loan, focuses on water management, renewable energy, and sustainable agriculture.
These loans are part of the World Bank's Country Partnership Framework for Morocco for 2024-2028, which prioritizes inclusive growth, human capital, and climate action. The programs are expected to benefit Moroccan citizens by improving access to digital services and reducing vulnerability to climate shocks.
