Gombak police chief Noor Ariffin Nasir said a report was lodged on April 25, 2026, by the child's grandmother, who lives in the same house in Batu Caves. The alleged abuse occurred in early March at about 8pm, when the complainant heard the child crying and later found injuries on the boy.
Police are searching for the woman, who is the mother of the victim. The child has been placed in the care of the grandmother. No arrests have been made yet.
Authorities urge anyone with information to contact the Gombak police station. The case is being investigated under child protection laws.
