An 18-year-old model from Winnipeg, identified only as Parker, made his runway debut for Prada at Milan Fashion Week last weekend. The event took place from June 23 to 25, 2026, according to industry calendars.
Parker, who declined to provide his full name for privacy reasons, described the experience as surreal. 'It felt like a dream — a good dream — a dream that I've had since I started modelling,' he said in an interview with CBC News.
The young model was selected by Prada casting directors after a global search. He walked in the brand's Spring/Summer 2027 menswear show, which featured a collection inspired by urban landscapes.
Parker's agency, Winnipeg-based Model Management, confirmed that this was his first international booking. 'We are incredibly proud of him,' said agency director Sarah Chen. 'He represents a new generation of Canadian talent on the world stage.'
Milan Fashion Week is one of the 'Big Four' fashion weeks, alongside New York, London, and Paris. Parker's participation marks a significant milestone for a model from the Canadian Prairies.
