The Minnesota Wild have re-signed forward Michael McCarron to a six-year, $19.8 million contract extension, the team announced on June 9, 2026. The deal carries an average annual value of $3.3 million.
McCarron, 31, recorded 12 goals and 18 assists for 30 points in 72 games during the 2025-26 season. The 6-foot-6, 230-pound forward has been a key physical presence for the Wild since joining the organization.
Originally a first-round pick (25th overall) by the Montreal Canadiens in the 2013 NHL Draft, McCarron has played 312 career NHL games with the Canadiens, Nashville Predators, and Wild, totaling 38 goals and 55 assists.
The contract will keep McCarron in Minnesota through the 2031-32 season. The Wild have not disclosed any no-trade or no-movement clauses in the deal.
