San Antonio Spurs rookie Victor Wembanyama made NBA history on Monday night, recording the fastest double-double in league history. The 7-foot-4 center achieved the feat in just 18 minutes and 55 seconds of play during the Spurs' 116-100 victory over the Chicago Bulls at the Frost Bank Center.

Wembanyama finished the game with 21 points, 20 rebounds, and 4 blocks, dominating on both ends of the court. His performance shattered the previous record for the fastest double-double, which was held by Nikola Jokic, who achieved one in 21 minutes and 33 seconds in 2018.

The historic night helped the Spurs snap a three-game losing streak. Wembanyama's 20 rebounds marked a career high, and he became the first Spurs player with a 20-point, 20-rebound game since Tim Duncan in 2013. DeMar DeRozan led the Bulls with 31 points in the losing effort.

"It's a cool record, but the win is what matters," Wembanyama said post-game. "We played with great energy tonight and executed our game plan." The Spurs improved their record to 17-56 with the victory, while the Bulls fell to 35-38.
