During the interview, Wajackoyah also revealed that Central Organization of Trade Unions (COTU) Secretary General Francis Atwoli is his uncle. He stated that any attacks on Atwoli are attacks on him as well, emphasizing their familial bond.
Wajackoyah, who ran for president in 2022 and secured about 0.44% of the vote, is positioning himself for another bid. The 2027 election is expected to be competitive, with several candidates already signaling interest.
The Roots Party leader did not provide details on his running mate or specific policy proposals during the interview, but he called for unity among Kenyans and criticized political tribalism.
