Dancehall artist Vyper Ranking has publicly stated that he has no intention of joining the Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF) or its Savings and Credit Cooperative Organization (SACCO) initiative. He made the remarks during an interview with Galaxy TV.
Vyper Ranking criticized the UNMF's SACCO, saying it does not align with his personal goals. He did not provide specific details about his objections but emphasized his independence from the federation.
The UNMF, led by President Eddy Kenzo, launched the SACCO to help musicians save and access loans. However, some artists have expressed skepticism about its management and transparency.
As of April 2026, Vyper Ranking remains one of several Ugandan musicians who have opted out of the federation's programs. The UNMF has not publicly responded to his comments.
