Twelve American primary and secondary school teachers have arrived in Morocco to participate in the Fulbright Teachers for Global Classrooms (TGC) program for 2026. The educators are being hosted by the Moroccan-American Commission for Educational and Cultural Exchange (MACECE), which facilitates the exchange.
The Fulbright TGC program is a year-long professional development opportunity for U.S. educators to build skills for preparing students for a globalized world. The international field experience, which includes the stay in Morocco, is a core component following online coursework and a symposium in the United States.
During their immersion, the teachers will engage with Moroccan schools and communities to develop a deeper understanding of the local culture and education system. The program aims to foster mutual understanding and equip teachers with resources to integrate global perspectives into their classrooms back in the United States.
