COAST REGION: Development projects worth over 8.8 billion Tanzanian shillings have been showcased in the Coast Region during the ongoing Uhuru Torch race, highlighting ongoing efforts to improve social services and infrastructure.
In Kibiti District, eight projects valued at 3.9 billion TZS were presented, including the construction of a health center and a primary school. The projects aim to enhance access to healthcare and education for local communities.
The Uhuru Torch, a symbol of national unity and development, is currently traversing the region, with officials from the President's Office (Regional Administration and Local Government) overseeing the inspections.
Other districts in the region, such as Rufiji and Mkuranga, also showcased projects totaling 4.9 billion TZS, covering water supply, road construction, and market infrastructure.
