Nigerian music executive and talent manager Ubi Franklin has revealed that he battled depression and made several suicide attempts following the collapse of his marriage to Nollywood actress Lilian Esoro. Franklin shared his experience during an episode of his podcast, Talks with Ubi F, which aired earlier this month.
In the podcast, Franklin described the emotional turmoil he faced after the separation, stating that the pain of the breakup led him to contemplate ending his life. He emphasized the importance of mental health awareness and encouraged others going through similar struggles to seek help.
Franklin and Esoro, who were married in 2015, parted ways in 2018. The couple has a son together. Franklin has since focused on his career and personal growth, using his platform to discuss mental health issues.
