Two teenagers have been charged in connection with the armed robbery of an 82-year-old woman in the Charlestown neighborhood of Boston. According to the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office, the incident occurred on the afternoon of March 18, 2026.
Prosecutors allege that a 16-year-old and a 17-year-old approached the elderly woman, displayed a firearm, and demanded her purse. The victim was not physically injured during the robbery. The suspects were arrested shortly after the incident following an investigation by Boston Police.
The two male juveniles, whose names were not released due to their age, were arraigned in Boston Juvenile Court. They face charges including armed robbery and assault with a dangerous weapon. Both were ordered held pending a dangerousness hearing scheduled for later this week.
