A 16-year-old boy and a 19-year-old man have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a 14-year-old was fatally shot in southeast London.

Two more people have been arrested on suspicion of murder following the fatal shooting of a 14-year-old boy in Woolwich, southeast London. The victim has been named by police as Eghosa Ogbebor.

The Metropolitan Police confirmed that a 16-year-old boy and a 19-year-old man were arrested on Saturday, 4 April 2026. They remain in custody. A 15-year-old boy was previously arrested on suspicion of murder on Friday and has been released on bail.

Officers were called to the scene on Woolwich New Road at approximately 21:15 BST on Thursday, 3 April 2026. Eghosa Ogbebor was found with gunshot wounds and died at the scene. A post-mortem examination gave the cause of death as a gunshot wound to the chest.

Detective Chief Inspector Kate Kieran, leading the investigation, stated, "This is a fast-moving investigation and we are following a number of lines of enquiry." The police continue to appeal for witnesses and information.
