TV5MONDE has invested one million euros in the production of ten Moroccan animated series for children, as part of a project supporting French-language animation. Eight of these series are scheduled to air on TV5MONDE and its children's channel TiVi5 Monde.
The initiative, announced in 2025, aims to promote linguistic diversity and cultural representation in children's programming. The series are produced by Moroccan studios and feature stories rooted in local culture, with scripts in French.
According to TV5MONDE, the project is part of a broader effort to support animation in the French-speaking world, particularly in Africa and the Middle East. The selected series cover a range of genres, from adventure to educational content.
No specific release dates for the eight series have been confirmed as of June 2026. The investment is funded through TV5MONDE's budget for international cooperation and cultural development.
