Toyota has launched the all-new bZ4X 2026 in Morocco, marking the brand's entry into the local electric vehicle market. The SUV features a distinctive 'hammerhead' front grille inspired by the great hammerhead shark, combining urban refinement with ruggedness.
The bZ4X is built on Toyota's e-TNGA platform, offering a range of up to 500 km (WLTP) from its 71.4 kWh battery. It supports fast charging up to 150 kW, enabling an 80% charge in about 30 minutes. The vehicle is available in both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations.
In Morocco, the bZ4X is priced starting from 499,900 MAD (approximately $49,000 USD). It comes with a comprehensive warranty package, including 8 years or 160,000 km for the battery. Toyota Morocco has also announced plans to expand its charging network across major cities.
The launch aligns with Morocco's National Energy Strategy, which aims for 52% of the country's energy mix from renewables by 2030. The bZ4X is expected to compete with other electric SUVs like the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Tesla Model Y in the Moroccan market.
