Videos from the event circulated online, showing a tense interaction between the two stars, though no physical altercation was reported. The situation escalated significantly on social media platforms in the following days.
In her petition, Abraham alleges that she has been subjected to coordinated online attacks, threats, and defamation. The police have confirmed receipt of the complaint and stated that an investigation is underway. Funke Akindele has not publicly commented on the police report as of March 30, 2026.
