Gabonese football coach Thierry Mouyouma has been appointed as the new head coach of AS Mangasport. The club, based in Moanda, competes in the Gabon Championnat National D1.
Mouyouma's return to a coaching role follows his departure as head coach of the Gabon national team, the Panthers, in late 2025. His exit came after a reported dispute with the Gabonese Football Federation (FEGAFOOT) over team selection and management autonomy.
AS Mangasport confirmed the appointment, stating Mouyouma's experience with the national team and domestic clubs was a key factor. The coach's immediate task will be to improve the club's standing in the Gabonese top flight.
Mouyouma previously managed other Gabonese clubs, including Cercle MbΓ©ri Sportif and US Bitam, before his stint with the national team. His return to club management marks a new chapter after a turbulent period with the national federation.
