The boy, identified as Muhammad Irfan Danish, was reported missing on August 21 after he failed to return from an outdoor activity. A search and rescue operation involving police, fire department personnel, and villagers was launched immediately.
Initial investigations suggest the victim may have drowned, but a full autopsy is pending to determine the exact cause of death. Police have classified the case as sudden death and are awaiting further forensic results.
The incident has raised concerns among parents about safety protocols at religious boarding schools. The tahfiz programme operator has been asked to cooperate fully with the investigation.
