Surrey RCMP are investigating a series of four shootings that occurred within a 48-hour period in the city, one of which was fatal. The incidents have prompted a significant police response and public appeals for information.

The fatal shooting occurred on the evening of Saturday, March 28, 2026, in the Sullivan Heights neighbourhood. The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) confirmed that 27-year-old Jasman Sekhon was killed. Investigators believe the shooting was targeted and that Sekhon was known to police.

The three other non-fatal shootings took place in the Newton and Guildford areas between Friday, March 27, and Sunday, March 29. Police have not confirmed if the incidents are linked but stated all are believed to be targeted. No arrests have been announced in connection with any of the shootings.

IHIT and Surrey RCMP are urging anyone with information, dashcam, or doorbell camera footage from the affected areas during the relevant times to come forward. The investigations remain active.
