A member of the Meudon cycling club, identified as Greg, had his gold Lapierre bicycle stolen in Paris after a training session on the famous Parisian cycling track. The bike, a gift for his 40th birthday, was taken in early May 2026.
Greg initially posted an alert on the Strava app but received no leads. However, the case took a turn when a TikTok video surfaced showing a man in Morocco riding a bike that matched the description of Greg's stolen Lapierre.
The video went viral, and with the help of social media users and local authorities in Morocco, the bike was located and recovered. Greg traveled to Morocco to retrieve his bicycle, expressing gratitude to the online community that helped solve the mystery.
