John Lee Hancock's legal drama about the landmark trial against chemical company Monsanto has added more cast members. LaKeith Stanfield, Julia McDermott, David Duchovny, Melonie Diaz, Bilal Hasna and Greg Kinnear have signed on to join the previously announced cast, which includes Glen Powell, Anthony Ramos, and Anne Hathaway.
The film is based on the real-life case of Dewayne 'Lee' Johnson, a groundskeeper who sued Monsanto after claiming exposure to the company's herbicide Roundup caused his non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Johnson's 2018 trial resulted in a $289 million verdict against Monsanto, later reduced, and set a precedent for thousands of similar lawsuits.
Hancock, known for directing 'The Blind Side' and 'Saving Mr. Banks,' is directing from a script he co-wrote. The project is in production as of June 2026, with a release date yet to be announced.
