Stade Rennais has officially announced the departure of forward Arnaud Kalimuendo, who has joined RC Lens on a permanent transfer. The deal, finalized on July 29, 2026, sees the 24-year-old French striker move to the northern club for a reported fee of €15 million.
Kalimuendo, who came through the Paris Saint-Germain academy, joined Rennes in 2022 for €20 million. During his four seasons at Roazhon Park, he scored 28 goals in 98 appearances across all competitions, including 12 goals in Ligue 1 last season.
RC Lens, who finished 5th in Ligue 1 last season, have been seeking attacking reinforcements ahead of their Europa Conference League campaign. Kalimuendo has signed a four-year contract with the Sang et Or, keeping him at the club until 2030.
Rennes sporting director Florian Maurice stated: 'We thank Arnaud for his commitment and professionalism during his time here. This transfer allows us to rebalance our squad while giving him a new challenge.'
