Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) secured a comprehensive 67-run victory over Delhi Capitals (DC) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 on Monday, April 21. The win propelled SRH to third place in the tournament standings.
Batting first after losing the toss, SRH posted a total of 266 for 7. Opener Abhishek Sharma provided a blistering start, scoring 46 runs off just 12 balls, including four fours and five sixes. Heynrich Klaasen contributed a steady 59 from 29 deliveries to anchor the innings.
In response, Delhi Capitals were bowled out for 199 in 19.1 overs. The SRH bowling attack, led by Sri Lankan pacer Matheesha Pathirana (who took 3 wickets for 34 runs) and supported by T. Natarajan (2/33), dismantled the DC batting lineup. Key DC batter Jake Fraser-McGurk was dismissed for 18 runs.
The result marks SRH's sixth win of the season, strengthening their playoff aspirations. Delhi Capitals remain in the lower half of the points table following the defeat.
