A unique accommodation experience has taken off in Brussels, Belgium. The Royal Museum of the Armed Forces and Military History now allows guests to spend the night under the wings of a fully restored Lockheed F-104G Starfighter. The aircraft, a Cold War-era interceptor, has been meticulously refurbished and is housed within the museum's hangar.
The overnight package includes a guided tour of the museum's aviation collection, a dinner themed around aviation history, and a night's sleep in a specially designed bed placed directly beneath the Starfighter. The experience is part of the museum's efforts to attract new audiences and generate revenue for preservation.
According to the museum's website, the Starfighter on display is a former Belgian Air Force aircraft, serial number FX-68. It was restored by a team of volunteers over several years. The overnight stays are available for up to two guests per night, with prices starting at €350.
