FIFA has appointed Slovenian referee Slavko Vinčić to officiate the 2026 World Cup match between Morocco and Brazil, scheduled for Saturday, June 13, at 11:00 PM local time at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
Vinčić, 46, will be assisted by his compatriots Tomaž Klančnik and Andraž Kovačič as assistant referees. The fourth official will be Italian Daniele Orsato, while the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) team will be led by Slovenian Nejc Kajtazović.
The match is part of the group stage of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which is being co-hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico. This is the first time the tournament features 48 teams.
Vinčić has previously officiated high-profile matches, including the 2024 UEFA Champions League final and the 2022 FIFA World Cup semifinal between Argentina and Croatia.
