Jannik Sinner has won the Miami Open, defeating Czech player Jiri Lehecka 6-3, 6-1 in the final on Sunday. With the victory, the Italian world number one completed the 'Sunshine Double', having also won the Indian Wells Masters earlier in March. He is the first man since Roger Federer in 2017 to win both tournaments in the same year.
Sinner did not drop a single set throughout the entire Miami tournament, a feat last achieved at this event by Novak Djokovic in 2016. His dominant performance in the final ended Lehecka's remarkable serving run, where the Czech had held every service game until the championship match.
This marks Sinner's third title of the 2026 season and his second career Masters 1000 trophy. The win solidifies his position at the top of the ATP rankings as the tour moves to the European clay court season.
