Indonesian police have arrested two men in connection with the murder of a Singaporean man whose body was found encased in a cement block in a river in West Java. The victim, identified as 42-year-old Singaporean national Seetoh Sze Wei, was reported missing in Singapore on March 27, 2026.

According to police statements, the body was discovered by local residents in the Cibeet River in the Karawang regency on March 30. The victim's body was found inside a plastic drum filled with cement. Preliminary investigations suggest the murder occurred at a rental property in the Cikarang area of Bekasi.

West Java police chief Inspector General Akhmad Wiyagus stated that two suspects, identified by the initials AF (31) and DA (26), were arrested on March 31. The suspects are believed to have known the victim. The motive is suspected to be related to a financial dispute, with police alleging the suspects owed the victim money.

The case is being investigated as a premeditated murder. Authorities from both Indonesia and Singapore are cooperating on the investigation. The Singapore Ministry of Foreign Affairs has confirmed it is providing consular assistance to the victim's family.
