According to the company's announcement, the funds will support SimpliFed's mission to make expert lactation and feeding support accessible to families nationwide through insurance-covered virtual care.
SimpliFed was founded by Andrea Ippolito, a former U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs official. The platform connects parents with board-certified lactation consultants and registered dietitians. The company reports that its services are available in all 50 U.S. states and are covered by many major insurance plans, including Medicaid.
The announcement highlights the growing demand for accessible, virtual maternal healthcare solutions. SimpliFed plans to use the new capital to enhance its technology platform and broaden its clinical service offerings for new parents.
