The 27th International Book and Publishing Fair (SIEL) concluded in Casablanca, Morocco, on April 13, 2026, setting a new attendance record. The event, which began on April 2, attracted over 500,000 visitors, surpassing previous editions.
Catherine Pégard, President of the Public Establishment of the Palace, Museum and National Estate of Versailles, was a guest of honor. She participated in a signing session for her book "Versailles, Passion of a President" and engaged in discussions on cultural heritage.
The fair featured more than 700 exhibitors from over 60 countries, with France as the guest of honor nation. The record turnout highlights the event's growing significance as a major cultural and literary hub in Africa and the Arab world.
