The 18th edition of the Salon International de l'Agriculture au Maroc (SIAM) concluded on April 28, 2026, in Meknes, achieving a record attendance of over 1.13 million visitors, according to official figures. The event, held from April 20 to 28, highlighted Morocco's agricultural sector and attracted participants from 78 countries.
This year's theme, 'Agriculture and Climate: Towards Sustainable and Resilient Systems,' focused on climate adaptation strategies. The fair featured 1,500 exhibitors, including 300 international companies, and hosted 40 conferences on topics such as water management and digital agriculture.
Moroccan Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, Rural Development, Water and Forests, Mohammed Sadiki, emphasized the event's role in promoting agricultural innovation and investment. He noted that the SIAM has become a key platform for North-South cooperation in agribusiness.
Notable highlights included a dedicated pavilion for African countries, showcasing regional agricultural products, and a 'Startup Village' featuring 50 agritech startups. The event also saw the signing of 15 partnership agreements between Moroccan and foreign companies.
Organizers reported that the 2026 edition generated an estimated 2.5 billion Moroccan dirhams in business deals, a 12% increase from the previous year. The next SIAM is scheduled for April 2027.
