The 18th edition of the Salon International de l'Agriculture au Maroc (SIAM) concluded on April 28, 2026, with a record attendance of 1,136,952 visitors, as announced by Commissioner General Kamal Hidane. The event, held from April 20 to 28 at the Meknes exhibition center, brought together participants from over 70 countries.
This year's theme, 'Agriculture and Human Capital: A Path to Sustainable Development,' focused on the role of education and innovation in the agricultural sector. The nine-day program included conferences, workshops, and exhibitions showcasing the latest agricultural technologies and practices.
Key highlights included the presence of Spain as the guest of honor, with a dedicated pavilion featuring Spanish agri-food products and technologies. The event also emphasized sustainable farming methods and the importance of supporting smallholder farmers in Morocco and across Africa.
Organizers reported that the number of professional visitors increased by 12% compared to the previous edition, reflecting growing interest in agricultural innovation. The SIAM is considered one of the largest agricultural fairs in Africa and the Middle East.
