SFC Automotive Solutions, a subsidiary of the German investment fund Mutares, inaugurated a new industrial unit at the Tangier Med platform on Wednesday, May 6, 2026. The facility represents an investment of €28 million and is expected to create 500 jobs.
The plant is dedicated to the production of automotive components, including exhaust systems and structural parts, for major car manufacturers operating in the region. This expansion strengthens Tangier Med's position as a key hub for the automotive industry in North Africa.
According to a company statement, the unit will produce catalytic converters and other emission control systems, aligning with global trends toward cleaner vehicles. The site spans 15,000 square meters and is equipped with advanced manufacturing technologies.
Moroccan officials attended the inauguration, highlighting the project's contribution to the local economy and the country's industrial development strategy. The plant is expected to begin full production by the third quarter of 2026.
