A San Francisco man already on parole for a 2015 manslaughter conviction has been charged with murder in the death of his 3-year-old niece, according to court records reviewed on June 19, 2026.
Prosecutors allege the suspect, whose name has not been released pending formal arraignment, caused fatal injuries to the child on June 15, 2026. The victim was found unresponsive at a residence in the Bayview district and later pronounced dead at a hospital.
The suspect was previously convicted of voluntary manslaughter in 2015 for a separate incident and was released on parole in 2023. He is being held without bail at San Francisco County Jail. The case is being investigated by the San Francisco Police Department's homicide unit.
