In April 2026, a group of individuals aged over 60 embarked on a humanitarian raid from Aubenas, France, to Morocco, driving a classic Renault 5. The mission aimed to deliver medical supplies and educational materials to rural communities in the Atlas Mountains.
The raid, organized by the association 'Les Vieux Volants', covered approximately 2,000 kilometers over 10 days. Participants included retired teachers and nurses, who used their own vehicle to transport donations collected from local businesses.
Upon arrival in the village of Tafraoute, the team distributed supplies to a local school and health clinic. The initiative was supported by the French Institute of Marrakech and received coverage from regional media.
