Senegal's under-17 national team coach, Lamine Sané, has announced a preliminary squad of 26 players as preparations begin for the 2026 Africa U17 Cup of Nations (AFCON U17). The tournament is scheduled to be held in Morocco from May 13 to June 2, 2026.
The Senegalese Football Federation (FSF) published the list, which includes players based both domestically and abroad. The squad will enter a training camp to prepare for the continental championship, where they will aim to secure a spot in the 2027 FIFA U-17 World Cup.
The final tournament squad for the AFCON U17 is typically reduced to 21 players. Senegal will be competing in the tournament, which serves as the African qualifier for the world championship. The draw for the group stages has not yet been conducted.
