The Ottawa Senators fell 3-2 to the Florida Panthers in Game 1 of their NHL Eastern Conference First Round playoff series on Friday, April 18, 2026. The game was played at Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise, Florida.
Senators defenseman Artem Zub left the game in the second period after blocking a shot and did not return. Post-game, head coach Travis Green stated Zub's status is "day-to-day" and that the team would have a better update on Saturday. Zub logged 10:47 of ice time before his exit.
"We have to be better," said Senators captain Brady Tkachuk. "It's one game. We'll look at the video, make our adjustments, and come out harder for Game 2." Goaltender Joonas Korpisalo made 31 saves in the loss.
Game 2 of the best-of-seven series is scheduled for Sunday, April 20, 2026, in Sunrise.
