A second contingent of Kenyan police officers deployed as part of the Multinational Security Support (MSS) mission in Haiti has returned to Kenya. The officers arrived at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) on the evening of Tuesday, March 17, 2026, aboard a Kenya Airways flight.

The deployment is part of a United Nations-backed initiative to assist Haitian National Police in stabilizing the country amid severe gang violence. Kenya pledged to lead the mission, with the first officers arriving in Haiti in mid-2025.

This rotation is part of a planned schedule for the mission, which involves multiple nations. The returning officers are expected to undergo debriefing. The Kenyan government has stated its continued commitment to the international effort in Haiti.
