The update introduces a new progression system, resetting player Renown and Milestones to allow for fresh advancement. Key new features include the ability to dive directly to world events from the ship's map table and a new world event, 'The Ghost of the Deep,' which tasks crews with hunting a powerful ghost ship. The update also adds new Voyages, cosmetics, and quality-of-life improvements.
Players are advised that the seasonal reset means any unclaimed rewards from the previous season's progression track are lost. To prepare, players were encouraged to complete their Season 11 progression before the launch. The update is available for free to all players on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows 10/11, and PlayStation 5.
