World No.1 Aryna Sabalenka powered into the third round of the Cincinnati Open with a dominant 6-1, 6-2 victory over China's Wang Xinyu on Tuesday.
The Belarusian, who is the top seed, needed just 58 minutes to dispatch Wang, breaking her opponent's serve five times and saving the only break point she faced.
Sabalenka, a two-time Australian Open champion, is seeking her first Cincinnati title after finishing runner-up in 2023. She will next face either Elina Svitolina or a qualifier.
The win extends Sabalenka's strong hard-court form, having reached the final at the WTA 1000 event in Toronto earlier this month.
