Royal Air Maroc (RAM) announced on Saturday the temporary suspension of several flights to European and African destinations, including routes to Belgium, due to rising fuel prices caused by the conflict in the Middle East. The airline cited increased operational costs as the primary reason for the decision.
According to a statement from RAM, the affected routes include flights from Casablanca to Brussels and other key European cities. The suspension is expected to last until further notice, pending stabilization of fuel prices. The company emphasized that passenger safety and financial sustainability are the main priorities.
This move comes as global oil prices have surged following recent escalations in the Middle East, impacting airlines worldwide. Royal Air Maroc joins several other carriers that have adjusted their schedules or raised fares to cope with the rising costs.
Passengers with existing bookings on affected flights are advised to contact the airline for rebooking or refund options. RAM has not provided a specific timeline for the resumption of services.
