Royal Air Maroc (RAM) launched its inaugural non-stop flight from Casablanca Mohammed V International Airport to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) on June 8, 2026. The flight, operated by a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, marks the airline's first direct service to the U.S. West Coast.
The new route will operate three times a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays, according to RAM's official schedule. The flight time is approximately 12 hours and 30 minutes, offering passengers a direct connection between Morocco and Southern California.
This expansion is part of Royal Air Maroc's strategy to strengthen its North American network, complementing existing services to New York, Washington D.C., and Miami. The airline aims to cater to both business and leisure travelers, as well as the Moroccan diaspora in the United States.
Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) officials welcomed the new service, highlighting its potential to boost tourism and trade between the two regions. The flight is expected to carry up to 290 passengers per trip in a three-class configuration.
