Royal Air Maroc (RAM) has become the first African airline to offer Starlink high-speed internet connectivity on board its aircraft. The service was launched in August 2026, initially on select Boeing 737-800 aircraft, with plans to expand across its fleet.
According to official announcements, the airline partnered with SpaceX to equip its planes with Starlink terminals, providing passengers with high-speed, low-latency internet access during flights. The service is offered free of charge to passengers in all classes on equipped aircraft.
The first routes to feature Starlink connectivity include flights between Casablanca and major destinations in Europe and Africa. RAM aims to complete the installation on its entire fleet by the end of 2026.
This move positions Royal Air Maroc as a pioneer in African aviation, enhancing the passenger experience with seamless connectivity for streaming, browsing, and working during flights.
